A Huge Participation

This huge participation of more than 22,000 Emirates Group employees began their run on the iconic Sheikh Zayed Road, running alongside colleagues, friends, and family. This excellent turnout was one of the highest among Dubai’s corporate participants, and demonstrated a true testament to the DFC’s culture of community, wellness, and teamwork.

Additionally, the Emirates Group also participated in both the Dubai Ride and the Dubai Stand-Up Paddle challenges. Not only has Emirates shown organisation-wide commitment and support to an active lifestyle, it has also contributed and promoted a range of fitness activities in the citywide events. This huge participation shares in Dubai’s hope to become the most active city.

How Else Emirates Contributed

Throughout the month, Emirates has encouraged active participation in the DFC through various means, such as once again offering one free Service-Related Concession flight ticket to anywhere on the Emirates Network. This is meant to incentivise permanent employees to complete the 30-day challenge.

Moreover, employees stayed active through the 30 sports and hobby clubs on offer. The sessions included football, volleyball, basketball, badminton, cricket, cycling, and much more. Employees were set the goal of reaching 30 minutes of daily activity or hitting 10,000 steps a day.

On top of this, the Emirates Group also hosted an exclusive activation at Zabeel Park for employees, part of the DFC line-up. A variety of interactive fitness activities took place during the event, including beginner-friendly Zumba sessions.
