Emirates increases winter flights to Heathrow

The airline has increased its winter schedule to the London Heathrow airport in a bid to meet the “boost in demand” and follows a “record growth.”

The airline already operates six flights a day to and from the London Heathrow airport. This route is operated by its flagship Airbus A380.

The newly introduced additional flights will begin operations in October and will run on all days except Fridays during the winter period. These additional flights will operate using the airline’s Boeing 777-300ER. These would offer more than 350 seats each way, split into three classes- First, Business, and Economy. In a press release, the airline said:

“Strategically timed overnight departures from London Heathrow to Dubai provide convenient onward connections to destinations like Durban, Phuket, Kuala Lumpur, Hong Kong, Beijing, Shenzhen, Guangzhou and Jakarta.”

“Flights to London Heathrow offer well-timed connectivity for travellers coming from cities across West Asia, like Ahmedabad, Lahore, Maldives, Hyderabad and Chennai, Beijing and Shanghai in the Chinese mainland, as well as several points within the Middle East, including Bahrain, Dammam and Riyadh. “

Here’s the new flight schedule:

  • Flight EK41 will fly from Dubai on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday at 1:40 p.m. local time and will arrive at London Heathrow at 5:40 p.m. local time.
  • The return flight, EK42, will leave London Heathrow at 10:35 p.m. on Monday, Wednesday and Sunday, arriving in Dubai at 09:35 a.m. the next day, local time. On Tuesday and Saturday, the flight will leave Heathrow at 9:20 p.m. local time, arriving at 8:20 a.m. local time in Dubai.
  • On Thursdays, EK41 will depart Dubai at 12:55 p.m. local time, arriving in London Heathrow at 4:55 p.m. local time. The return flight, EK42, will leave London Heathrow at 9:20 p.m. arriving in Dubai at 08:20 a.m. the next day. All times are local.

Plans for expanding the schedule to London Gateways

Emirates is planning to increase flights to its London Hubs, including Heathrow and London Gatwick airports. The airline is planning to increase its schedule to  90 weekly flights across its three London Gateways by February 2026.

The airline announced a fourth daily flight to Gatwick last month, which will begin operations from February 8, 2026. It will be operated on the airline’s newest aircraft, the Airbus A350.

Overall, in terms of the UK, Emirates will operate 146 weekly flights by February next year. In addition to its London Heathrow, Gatwick and Stansted flight schedule, this would also include Manchester, Birmingham, Newcastle, Glasgow and Edinburgh.
