Embraer at LAAD 2025: Highlighting Advanced Multi-Role Aircraft and Defence Solutions

Bosco da Costa Junior, president and CEO of Embraer Defence & Security said:

“We are honoured to participate in LAAD 2025 to showcase our state-of-the-art portfolio and comprehensive solutions for air, land, sea, space, and cyber. This event provides a valuable opportunity to strengthen relationships with customers and partners worldwide.”

One of Embraer‘s flagship defence products is the KC-390 Millennium, a multi-mission military aircraft that has been extremely reliable and capable. Since its introduction into service with the Brazilian Air Force in 2019, the Portuguese Air Force in 2023, and the Hungarian Air Force in 2024, the KC-390 Millennium has achieved mission success rates of more than 99%.

The KC-390 Millennium has been purchased by 10 air forces, many of which are NATO members. Sweden and Slovakia recently chose the plane as its next tactical transport aircraft. Present clients include Brazil, Portugal, Hungary, South Korea, the Netherlands, Austria, the Czech Republic, and an undisclosed nation.

With more than 290 orders by 20 air forces and more than 580,000 flight hours, including 60,000 in combat, the A-29 Super Tucano remains a class leader. The versatile aircraft excels at close air support, air patrol, special operations, and training missions.

In 2024, Embraer announced new sales of the A-29N, the NATO version of the Super Tucano, to the Portuguese Air Force, as well as additional orders from the Uruguay and Paraguay air forces and two unidentified customers.

Embraer‘s presence at LAAD 2025 will also include Atech, Visiona Tecnologia Espacial, and the Águas Azuis Consortium, companies that are in Embraer’s portfolio of defence and security solutions.

As a leading aerospace company in Brazil, Embraer operates in commercial and executive aviation, defence and security, and agricultural aviation. Embraer has supplied over 9,000 aircraft since 1969 when it was founded. Every 10 seconds, on average, an Embraer aircraft takes off, transporting over 150 million passengers annually.
