Embraer and Adani Group have signed an agreement over E175s for Indian production as part of improving regional industrial ecosystems. The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the companies is to establish an assembly line within India as part of the country’s Regional Transport Aircraft (RTA) Program.

The Regional Production
The exchange happened between Francisco Gomes Neto, president and CEO of Embraer, and Jeet Adani, witnessed by the President of Brazil, Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva and by Piyush Goyal, India’s Minister of Commerce & Industry. Initially signed in the month of January 2026, the MoU between Embraer and the Adani Group is to not only boost E175 production but also regional connectivity by establishing a Final Assembly Line (FAL) in India with an estimated target fulfilment of 500 aircraft over the next 20 years. The E175s are manufactured as narrow body twin engine aircraft designed to carry up to 88 passengers, and is designed for the use of short, regional flights, enabling them to improve regional connectivity.
