Aurigny, Guernsey’s primary airline, has announced the launch of a brand-new direct route to a gem of Italy, Genoa. This offers residents of the channel island the chance to experience the beauty, culture and cuisine of the world-renowned Italian Riviera. The route will commence from April 12 to May 10, 2025. A Route Inspired by Demand
The decision to introduce the route to Genoa was largely influenced by local demand. Over 1,000 islanders participated in an Aurigny survey in order to determine their preferred European destinations. Sudeep Ghai, the airline’s Chief Commercial Officer, emphasised that the seasonal schedule of this new route is designed to balance leisure travel with essential lifeline services ton the UK.
“Genoa offers a mix of culture, food, and sun, just in time for Easter,” said Ghai. “We’ve carefully crafted our seasonal schedule to offer our community direct connectivity to exciting destinations across Europe.”
