In January 2025, Alaska Airlines reveals the first looks of a new premier lounge in Honolulu, an essential element to their three-year strategic plan. The new lounge is set to offer an elevated travel experience that blends modernity with island-inspired elements to reflect the heritage of the airlines.

Island-inspired elements blended with Premium Modernity

As part of a three-year strategic plan following their combination with Hawaiian Airlines. Alaska Airlines unveiled a preview of its new premium lounge. The new lounge will be in the Mauka Concourse in Terminal 1, Honolulu’s Daniel K. Inouye International Airport (HNL).

The new design blends island-inspired elements with modernity to craft a relaxing space for travellers. Alisha Onishi, Director of Brand and Culture at Hawaiian Airlines, said:

“This space reinforces our commitment to providing an unrivalled travel experience that reflects the purpose and values of our hometown airline.”

The new premium lounge is planned to open at the end of 2027.

Dedication to Culture, Heritage and Premium Travelling Experience

Alaska Airlines always strives to offer first-class service with facilities and elements tailored to passengers’ needs.

A new passenger lounge opened in July 2024 at San Francisco International Airport (SFO) to capture the West Coast culture, while offering premium lounge space lit with natural sunlight.

Alaska Airlines was also crowned the best in-flight food and beverage provider in North America in 2024. The airline has reintroduced hot meals and new menus to the cabins, paired with an exclusive craft beer option. They continue to enhance the travel experience while revealing more new elements.
