Alaska Air Group Announce Leadership Turnover

As vice president of safety and security at Alaska Airlines and AAG, Sather will lead security and safety functions across all fields of the airline and the air group. The safety of employees, customers, and operational safety will be the main focus of his role.

With more than a decade of experience at AAG, with focus on safety, project management, and system operations. Sather’s expertise, and close-working with the Federal Aviation Administration made him a perfect choice for AAG. Senior vice president of safety and audit at Alaska Airlines, Brooke Vatheuer shared:

“Ryan’s extensive experience across Alaska Air Group and aviation more broadly will benefit every employee and guest across our system. His knowledge and ability to move the ball forward is matched only by his care for the people on his team and those he is working with. Ryan’s leadership will be essential as we continue bringing Alaska and Hawaiian together under a single safety system and throughout the global expansion.”
