Amsterdam, the Netherlands

Spring transforms Amsterdam into a picturesque wonderland of blooming tulips, vibrant parks, and charming canal cruises. So, it’s no wonder airBaltic customers are choosing the capital of the Netherlands as a spring destination. Visitors can explore the famous Keukenhof Gardens, or embark on a bike ride through Vondelpark, and enjoy the outdoor cafes along the city’s scenic waterways.

Alicante, Spain

It’s no surprise to see Alicante on a ‘most popular’ list, considering the city experiences over 300 days of sunshine per year. The province is a favourite for travellers seeking an early taste of summer. The city has it all: golden beaches like Playa del Postiguet, historic sites such as Santa Bárbara Castle, and the lively atmosphere along the Explanada de España. Overall, a perfect sunny escape for this spring.

Barcelona, Spain

airBaltic customers are drawn to the hot sunshine the Spanish peninsula has to offer. Barcelona blends world-famous architecture with Mediterranean charm, making an ideal sight-seeing getaway. The springtime brings pleasant temperatures for tourists while offering the perfect balance between the vibrant city life and the relaxing waves on the coast. Visitors may explore architectural masterpieces, go for a stroll along La Ramba, or relax on Barceloneta Beach while avoiding that summer crowd.

Make sure to watch out for April 23rd in Barcelona. This day marks Sant Jordi’s Day, Barcelona’s version of Valentine’s day. Expect the city to be flooded with book and flower stalls.

London, England

London is one of the world’s most visited cities, so it shouldn’t shock you to see it appear on a list like this. Better yet, the spring season enhances the City’s charm with blooming sunshine, lively events, and markets with infinite possibilities. Must-do experiences include visiting seasonal markets, such as Borough Market, for gourmet food. Or, how about visiting Hyde Park and setting yourself up the perfect picnic underneath the open air and trees, coated by skyscrapers and city-life.

After that, treat yourself to a shopping trip throughout Covent Garden, Oxford Street, or Camden market, where tourists can find anything and everything. And, of course, how could you not go sight-seeing within the historic metropolis of London? With its combination of history, modern attractions, and vibrant cultural scene, it’s no surprise that airBaltic’s customers are flying to London.

Vienna, Austria

Billy Joel sung, “Vienna waits for you”. And he’s right. Vienna’s imperial history, classy architecture, and classical music heritage paints the destination as a magical place during spring. As the weather warms, travellers can wander through the Schönbrunn Palace Gardens, witnessing the fairytale-esque atmosphere. And why not attend a classical music concert? Remember, Vienna is the home of Mozart, Strauss and Beethoven. Spring also hosts the the Vienna Festival, which features world-class opera, theatre, and performances throughout the city.

Tivat, Montenegro

airBaltic’s customers have booked out a hidden gem for this spring. Tivat is an up-and-coming luxury destination on the Montenegrin coast, full of stunning sea views and alluring old towns. Be sure to visit Porto Montenegro, often labelled as the ‘Monaco of the Adriatic’, a glamorous area with high-end shopping and dining, and scenic waterfronts.

Spring is the perfect time to visit because the Boka Bay region is less crowded, enabling a peaceful experience of its breath-taking landscapes. The destination’s spring weather is also best for outdoor activities, such as hiking, sailing, and even just exploring the coast.

Those are the seven most popular destinations among airBaltic flights this spring. As the pride of Latvia, airBaltic is the gift that keeps on giving. It’s no wonder they achieved their all-time best annual passenger numbers last year. Now it’s up to you to decide which destination is on your radar.
