Air Tahiti Nui and Air Tahiti have signed a codeshare agreement last week, aimed at simplifying visitors’ travel plans to the islands of Tahiti.
This agreement will allow passengers to book their international and inter-island flights on a single ticket, marking journeys across French Polynesia more seamless and convenient, and will take effect on June 2, 2026, for reservations and trips.

Expanded Connectivity between International and Inter-Island Routes
Air Tahiti Nui, an international carrier, will be able to apply its TN code to selected flights operated by Air Tahiti, an inter-island carrier, and provide passengers with a single ticket covering their international flight to Bora Bora, French Polynesia or Rarotonga, Cook Islands.
Initially, the agreement will apply to two flight routes:
- Bora Bora with 6 daily flights, operated on an ATR72 aircraft
- Rarotonga with 2 flights per week, operated on an ATR72 aircraft, which has 70 seats.
Air Tahiti Nui flights are exclusively operated on a fleet of Boeing 787-9, known as the Tahitian Dreamliners.
Meanwhile, Air Tahiti inter-island flights are operated on ATR 72 aircraft and ATR 42 aircraft, the latter of which offers 48 seats, currently available in economy or premium class.
From December 2026, an “all business” option will also be available on Air Tahiti Nui flights.
