The First Direct Flight Between Scotland and Canada

Starting on June 27, 2025, this newly revealed route will be the only connection between Montréal, Canada, and Edinburgh, Scotland. This new route will run until September 7th, with flights departing Edinburgh every Tuesday, Friday, and Sunday morning and getting back from Montréal every Monday, Thursday, and Saturday evening.

Run by the modern Boeing 737 Max 8 fleet, passengers could enjoy a 7-hour trip with 153 economy seats and 16 premium economy seats equipped with touch-screen televisions.

Developing on the current reliable Edinburgh-Toronto service, which flies seven times each week in the summer period. The route seeks to increase economic, business, and cultural exchanges.

Margaret Skinner, Air Canada’s Senior Director Sales EMEAI, stated that:

Edinburgh has always been an important market for Air Canada, thanks to strong business, tourism, and cultural ties between Scotland and Canada, so we are proud to be expanding our presence in the market by adding a second route for 2025.

Montréal, Canada: Discover Montréal’s Vibrant Soul

Located in Quebec’s French-speaking core, Montréal combines North American style with European appeal. Renowned for its ancient port, the stunning Notre-Dame Basilica, and gastronomic pleasures such as bagels and poutine, the city is an excellent point of interest for travellers. Travellers in the summer usually plan their vacations around the time of the “Just For Laughs” comedy festival and the Montréal Jazz Festival.

Air Canada’s large network also provides smooth connections outside Canada to the US, the Caribbean, South America, and Mexico with the added benefit of US customs pre-clearance at Canadian hubs.

This route is ready to make an impact across the Atlantic, whether for business or adventure.
