Wizz Air has announced on social media the return of weekly flights to destinations in the Middle East. This comes after Wizz Air Abu Dhabi’s operations ended on Sept. 1, 2025.
Wizz Air’s network expansion
In an Instagram post, Wizz Air said:
“Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Jeddah and Amman are coming back with 12 routes and 49 weekly flights. Book them now!”
The operational expansion marks a potential increase in Wizz Air’s presence in the Gulf region, especially after it ceased operations in Abu Dhabi last year.
The network will contain 12 routes and 49 weekly flights, but the airline has yet to publicly give a full breakdown of the routes, destinations, start dates for flights, and the allocation of the weekly flight schedule. The airline also hasn’t announced if the network will be operated by Wizz Air’s European entities or a new locally-based operation.
