European low-cost carrier Wizz Air has announced a short, two-day fare promotion, offering up to 15 percent off selected flights booked between April 28 – 29, 2026. The sale applied to travel between May 4 and June 30, 2026, covering part of the early summer travel period.

Short booking window

The offer is only available for 48 hours, continuing the airline’s pattern of brief, time-limited promotions designed to drive quick bookings. Similar campaigns earlier in the year included discounts of up to 20% across selected routes for limited periods.

The sale is limited to bookings made on the Wizz Air website and app and does not include cabin or hold baggage or apply to group bookings.

Flash sales are a common tactic among low cost airlines, particularly in shoulder seasons such as late spring and early summer. These promotions are used to encourage early bookings and fill seats ahead of peak travel months.

About Wizz Air

Founded in 2003 and headquartered in Budapest, Wizz Air has grown into one of Europe’s largest low cost carriers. The airline operates a fleet of more than 200 aircraft and serves around 200 destinations across Europe, the Middle East and parts of North Africa.

Its business model focusses on keeping operational costs low by using a single-class cabin configuration and often flying to secondary airports. The airline has continued to expand its network in recent years, including the recent announcement of a Birmingham to Timisoara, Romania route beginning in May 2026.

Overall, the sale is a straightforward opportunity for travellers to book upcoming summer trips at a lower fare.

Will you be booking your flights over this sale period? Let us know in the comments below.
