AGS Airports, the owner of Aberdeen, Glasgow and Southampton airports, has announced that it has appointed its design partners for the first stage of a £350 million transformation project to take place at Glasgow Airport and Southampton Airport.

Transforming Two Airports
AGS Airports has appointed two firms as its design partners for the transformation project: Pascall + Watson, an internationally recognised architectural practice, and WSP, a leading international professional services firm. With these two partners, AGS Airports is launching its AGS Reimagined project, with the tagline ‘Elevating our airports for a stronger, sustainable future’. WSP will be the lead development designer for Southampton Airport, while WSP and Pascall + Watson together will lead the design for Glasgow Airport‘s transformation.
During the design step, the future layout, passenger flow and passenger experience will be carefully shaped to meet the needs of customers, airlines and the regions they serve alike. The programme is focussed on key points such as modernising Glasgow Airport’s main terminal, improving airfield structure and making progress towards net zero emissions by 2035.

AGS Airports Celebrates a New Era
Kam Jandu, Chief Executive of AGS Airports, shared an optimistic outlook on the future of AGS Airports:
“These appointments represent an important milestone in the delivery of AGS Reimagined. WSP and Pascall + Watson bring world‑class capability and deep experience of designing modern airport environments, and their expertise will help us create facilities that are more intuitive, efficient and enjoyable for our passengers.
With our £350 million investment now being put to work, we are moving at pace to deliver transformational change across our airports. This is a major step in shaping the next chapter of Glasgow and Southampton, ensuring they are future-ready and reflective of the regions they serve, focussing on great sense of place.”
Mark Wolfe, Aviation Sector Lead at WSP, also shared his eagerness to work on the transformation project:
“We’re delighted to be partnering with AGS Airports on the next stage of AGS Reimagined at Glasgow and Southampton. Drawing on our multidisciplinary design, building services and systems expertise – and collaborating closely with Pascall + Watson – we’ll create intuitive, resilient terminal environments that improve passenger flow and experience while supporting low‑carbon goals. With our teams embedded locally, we’re excited to help shape facilities that authentically reflect and serve their regions.”
The project marks the largest capital commitment to AGS since it was founded in 2014.
