Air India and Air India Express are unveiling their upgraded cabin products and refreshed onboard experiences at SATTE 2026, as the carriers accelerate their transformation drive. The three-day travel trade exhibition, running from Feb. 25-27 at Yashobhoomi in New Delhi, India, offers industry partners a first-hand look at the group’s evolving product and fleet strategy.

New Cabins Take Centre Stage
The Air India pavilion features full-scale displays of its bespoke Business Class seat for the Airbus A320neo and its Premium Economy product for the Airbus A350. Both now operating on key domestic and international routes from Indira Gandhi International Airport (DEL) and Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport (BOM).
Visitors can experience upgraded seating, refined cabin aesthetics and new onboard amenities aimed at delivering a consistent, world-class inflight experience. A dedicated virtual reality zone provides an immersive walkthrough of the airline’s Airbus A350 cabin, offering trade partners a closer look at the long-haul product.
Air India said the showcase reflects its commitment to a seamless passenger experience across short-haul and ultra-long-haul operations.

Air India Express Expands Footprint
Marking its debut at SATTE, Air India Express is spotlighting its expanding network of 45 domestic and 17 international destinations across South Asia, Southeast Asia and the Gulf.
The airline is promoting its Boeing 737-8 line-fit aircraft, featuring upgraded cabins and improved fuel efficiency. Interactive displays also highlight its “Gourmair” hot meal service and digital booking enhancements.
Air India Express now operates a fleet of more than 100 aircraft. In December 2025, it inducted its first fully customised line-fit aircraft. Today, nearly two-thirds of its fleet comprises modern B737-8 and A320/321neo aircraft.

Fleet Modernisation Gains Momentum
Air India expects delivery of six additional line-fit aircraft in 2026, including B787-9 and A350-1000 models. The airline recently received its first line-fit Boeing 787-9, which will set the new cabin standard across its Dreamliner fleet.
A retrofit programme is also under way for 26 legacy B787-8 aircraft, introducing brand-new interiors and the carrier’s updated livery.
Manish Puri, Head of Global Sales, Air India group, said SATTE provides a vital platform to deepen engagement with travel partners and drive growth in 2026, which he described as a pivotal year for the group.
