EirTrade Aviation has partnered with RESIDCO to acquire two A320 NEOs, previously operated by Spirit Airlines. These two aircraft will be torn down and dismantled in Goodyear, Arizona.

Disassembly and Others

The aircraft MSN 10769 and MSN 10921 are 4 years and 3.5 years old, respectively, and are among the youngest Airbus A320 NEO airframes to be torn down.

Bill Thompson, Vice President Origination & Trading for the Americas at EirTrade Aviation, said:

“We are focused on newer vintage aircraft to ensure that our inventory contains the highest quality rotables which ensure that our customers can be supported with the latest modification standard components. We have also acquired four sets of in-demand LRU and BFE components from the PW1100 engine type within this significant transaction.”

All parts will be sent to EirTrade‘s parts hub in Dallas to support the AOG request in the Americas.

Moreover, this will also contribute significantly to EirTrade’s global inventory.

More details of the acquisition

According to EirTrade, there are currently 4,400 A320 NEO aircraft in commercial service and 7,200 on order.

Dave Kolber, Director – Aviation Marketing at RESIDCO said:

“This landmark transaction further reinforces the long-standing collaboration between EirTrade and RESIDCO, built on a history of close cooperation and shared execution of complex, high value aviation asset solutions. This excellent relationship was fundamental in ensuring an efficient and effective process to secure these highly desirable young A320 NEOs.”

The Disassembly of the airframes is already underway, and all parts will be repaired and the material made available to the market by the end of Q1 for sale, exchange and AOG, confirmed EirTrade.
