It was announced by the Philippine Airlines that they have extended their long-term partnership with Airbus by signing new agreements with Flight Hour Services (FHS). This took place on Feb. 5, 2026. With this new contract, it will cover its A350, A330 and A320 fleets. In the future to maintain the airline’s fleet and operational support.

What does the contract mean for Philippine Airlines’ fleets?
The extended contract now covers nine A350-1000, eleven A330 family and forty-three A320 family. This includes comprehensive component support through exchanges, component repairs and engineering services. Component reliability as well as on-site stock at the main base in Manila, Philippines, is what makes this new contract attractive for the Philippine Airlines. The agreement is designed to enhance overall operations on fleets is stated to increase fleet availability, operational reliability and predict costs.
Anand Stanley, head of region Airbus, Asia-Pacific, stated:
“We thank Philippine Airlines for extending its Flight Hour Services agreements across its entire Airbus fleet to cover the A350, A330 Family and A320 Family. This demonstrates the strength of our long-standing partnership and our shared commitment to operational excellence.”
Last year, Dec. 3, 2025, Philippine Airline, saw a delivery of their first five additional Airbus A320 and signed a leaseback agreement with BOC aviation; showing the airlines determination to increase their operations.

Longstanding relationship with Airbus FHS
Philippine Airlines and Airbus FHS have had a longstanding relationship with each other, as their first initial contract dates back to 2018, with signed support for their A350-900 fleet. Partnership was then expanded in 2022 to include their PAL’s A320 and A330 fleets.
Anand Stanley added in his statement:
“By delivering comprehensive component support and on-site services in Manila, we are helping PAL optimise fleet performance while benefiting from predictable, long-term maintenance costs.”
Thus solidifying Airbus FHS and Philippines Airlines stronghold relationship. With airbus being the worldwide leader in Power-by-the-hour component support the contract with Philippines Airlines is a solution to help the airline maximise its fleet performance.
