What’s included?

Beginning at check-in, PPG frames festivities within early travel stages. Much like similar programs, specifics shift depending on location. Footage on Plaza Premium Lounge’s social media shows the initiative active in select regions, including Canada.

Promotions for Lunar New Year dishes appeared across social media platforms, featuring Plaza Premium Lounge’s offerings in Hong Kong. Lo Hei was highlighted alongside Buddha Jumps Over the Wall, both presented exclusively within the lounge setting. These items were available only during the festive season. Access remained limited to guests inside the space throughout that time frame.

Independent and third-party coverage

Outside official announcements, local coverage has touched on holiday-themed airport lounges. In one case, a publication based in Taiwan noted a seasonal takeout service at an airport facility near Taipei. The dining option features set meals meant for travellers passing through during the festival period.

Footage on Plaza Premium Lounge’s social media shows the initiative active in select regions, including Canada. The initiative appears to be operating in multiple regions, though not all markets are participating.

Lunar New Year Lounge Campaigns Matter for Airports and Operators

Throughout the Asia-Pacific, movement rises sharply around the Lunar New Year, mirrored by global diaspora journeys. Airports frequently highlight this span as notably busy. Lately, reports not tied to PPG have focused on anticipated passenger growth. Extra flights serve lifeline routes during this interval.

Lounge managers say seasonal programming helps distinguish the space during peak demand, while routine operations continue as usual.

What travellers should know?

During the Lunar New Year, travellers may notice seasonal changes in lounge offerings at airports with high passenger volumes. Menus and activities vary by location and are available only during specific hours or dates. Some lounges may require advance reservations for certain services.

A traveller at heart, I write about flight paths and airport rhythms from my base in Cymru (Wales). My time spent living in Japan shifted what travel means to me - it became less about schedules and more about experiencing real life through movement. Moments in time, I'd love to help others experience.
