Alaska Air Group (AAG) announced a new member of thier leadership team, welcoming Ryan Sather, as the new vice president of safety and security for Alaska Air Group and Alaska Airlines.
As vice president of safety and security at Alaska Airlines and AAG, Sather will lead security and safety functions across all fields of the airline and the air group. The safety of employees, customers, and operational safety will be the main focus of his role.
With more than a decade of experience at AAG, with focus on safety, project management, and system operations. Sather’s expertise, and close-working with the Federal Aviation Administration made him a perfect choice for AAG. Senior vice president of safety and audit at Alaska Airlines, Brooke Vatheuer shared:
“Ryan’s extensive experience across Alaska Air Group and aviation more broadly will benefit every employee and guest across our system. His knowledge and ability to move the ball forward is matched only by his care for the people on his team and those he is working with. ‘Decade of Experience with AAG’ and Marine Corps Influence
Sather has 26-years of military experience with the U.S Marine Corps, where he earned advanced tactical and standardised flight qualifications. His most recent work at AAG saw the FAA recognise Hawaiian Airlines and Alaska Airlines as one operating airline, with two brands.
