Solutions that Deliver Measurable Progress

The 2025 TAC concentrates on impact and the ways in which solutions can facilitate progress and subsequently be expanded across other operations.

Speaking about being shortlisted, Mads Brandstrup, Senior Vice President of Communication, Public Affairs and Sustainability at SAS, commented:

We are proud to be shortlisted across several categories in this year’s Aviation Challenge. The recognition reflects the dedication of colleagues across our organisation who continue to explore new ways to enhance efficiency and strengthen our long-term direction. Last year’s achievements showed what is possible when innovation and collaboration come together, and being acknowledged again this year demonstrates that this approach continues to make a difference.

SAS has been shortlisted in the following categories:

Most Impactful Solution – Cargo
Lightweight Cargo Straps

Most Impactful Solution – GroundOps
De-Icing Sustainability

More about The Aviation Challenge

Since 2022, the Aviation Challenge Awards have celebrated environmental sustainability in aviation. From reducing carbon emissions to improving energy efficiency, the awards seek to highlight how tangible actions can create long-lasting change.

In its first year, 16 airlines from within the SkyTeam alliance participated in the Aviation Challenge. This year, 26 airlines will compete across 18 categories.

The winners will be announced in January, when SAS hosts the latest event.
