Qatar Airways announced its winter schedule with a significant boost in flights to major international destinations, adding nearly 3,000 extra services this year as global travel demand continues to rise. The airline is increasing capacity to several destinations including Kuala Lumpur, Lagos, Shanghai and Singapore, strengthening its connectivity through Doha’s Hamad International Airport, which was voted one of the world’s best airports in 2025 and the best in the Middle East by Skytrax.

The winter schedule expansion also follows Qatar Airways being named World’s Best Airline 2025 for the ninth time, a recognition driven by its investment in onboard service, fleet upgrades and network growth.

Flights Informations to Kuala Lumpur, Lagos and Shanghai

Starting from the 17 of December, Qatar Airways will increase flights to Kuala Lumpur from 14 to 17 per week, improving links between Southeast Asia and major cities including Jeddah, London and Paris.

Connections to Lagos, a key entry point to West Africa, will rise from 10 to 14 weekly flights between December 15 and March 28, strengthening travel options for passengers connecting from Nigeria to destinations such as Delhi, Guangzhou and London.

Flights to Shanghai will increase to 10 per week between January 1 and March 28 to accommodate rising traffic between China and destinations across Europe, North Africa and South America.

A380 Returns on Singapore Route

From Jan. 12, 2026, Qatar Airways will reintroduce the Airbus A380 on select flights to Singapore, adding premium capacity on one of its busiest Asian routes. The move comes as Singapore Changi Airport reports continued recovery in passenger traffic, surpassing 90% of pre-pandemic levels in 2025.

Qatar Airways’ fleet expansion is supported by more than 100 aircraft equipped with Starlink high-speed Wi-Fi, offering free gate-to-gate connectivity for all passengers, with speeds reaching up to 500 Mbps per aircraft.
