Brazilian aircraft manufacturer Embraer announces a record high backlog for their orders for Q3 2025, showing strong development and foreseeing a successful year-end with abundant firm orders placed. The company recorded a $15.2 billion backlog for its commercial aviation arm, setting a new 9-year record, buoyed by a 2.7x book-to-bill ratio over the past year.

Embraer: Unprecedented High Figures for Q3

In the Q3 statistics released on October 21, 2025, Embraer registered a $31.3 billion backlog, which is an unprecedented high figure for the company, and a record-breaking figure.

Especially, commercial aviation reached a $15.2 billion backlog this quarter, showing the manufacturer’s strong success. This is a 37% increase compared to the same quarter the previous year, showing the manufacturer’s steady progressive development.

Embraer has seen an increase for year on year-over-year backlog across all manufacturing lines, ranging from commercial aviation, executive aviation, service and support, as well as defence and security aircraft.

Successful Year for Embraer so far

This record-breaking data follows the manufacturer’s earlier successful announcement of Q3 aircraft delivery numbers, reflecting a very successful quarter for the company.

With multiple collaborations and big orders scheduled, the manufacturer sees a strong development in the last quarter and next year. The progressive development is solidly reflected in major firm orders placed with different airlines.

With this expansion, Embraer’s commercial aviation is gaining stronger prominence alongside Boeing and Airbus in regional aviation.
