Lufthansa Technik increases the availability of its Cyclean Engine Wash solution across Europe through the initiation of a new partnership with ACC Columbia Jet Service.

ACC Columbia Jet Service initiated on-site engine core wash services in August for commercial aircraft as an authorised service partner at several European locations. A partnership that enhances the accessibility of Lufthansa Technik’s advanced engine washing technology. ACC Columbia Jet Service will be commissioned to carry out the washing event through certified mobile teams in Germany and all over Europe, pending request.
The event is currently offered at more than 60 locations worldwide and will enable customers with access to efficient engine washes for both narrow-body and wide-body aircraft. According to Lufthansa Technik, the Cyclean system cuts water usage by 50 percent when compared to traditional methods and completes washes in less than 45 minutes. The company added that it eliminates the need for post-wash engine run-ups, offering resource-saving and effective washes. The system cleans engines, enhances performance, and lowers fuel consumption.
Marlon Asthalter, base maintenance manager at ACC Columbia Jet Service, stated that the partnership reflects the company’s long-term commitment to delivering innovative, sustainable solutions in aircraft maintenance in both business and commercial aviation. Asthalter added that the partnership marks a significant step in expanding ACC Columbia’s services throughout Europe.
