Flight frequency increase

The recently launched long-haul route connecting Mumbai, a city in India, with Amsterdam and Manchester saw an increase in response from travellers using the service, which is why its flight frequency is being increased, effective Sept. 20, 2025. The airline will fly six times per week between Mumbai and Amsterdam, this route will also see a further increase to its daily service from Oct. 13, 2025. Flights between Mumbai and Manchester have been enhanced to four times weekly, effective Sep. 22, 2025.

IndiGo first announced its long-haul service to the United Kingdom (UK) in May, which was launched on July 1, 2025. The airline stated that the flight was a direct route between Mumbai and Manchester, and the service will run on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays, operated by its first-ever Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner, which was taken on damp-lease from Norse Atlantic Airways.

This was part of the airline’s dedication to expanding its network. During the announcement in May, the airline also included the route between Mumbai and Amsterdam, which was launched on July 2, 2025. According to IndiGo, the airline is expecting five additional Boeing 787-9 Dreamliners in the current financial year that will be used for the increased flight frequency between the routes, with delivery expectations set for mid-September.
