South American airline group LATAM Airlines has announced the launch of its new Premium Comfort cabin set for 2027. The airline group will invest over $100 million in the initiative.
LATAM Airlines’ new Premium Comfort Cabin
In a bid to improve its passengers’ long-haul experience on international routes, LATAM Airlines will be launching a new premium comfort cabin aboard its flights that will offer more comfort and space to its passengers.
The cabin will be placed between the Premium Business and Economy cabins, and the initiative will cost the South American airline an investment of over $100 million.
The airline is looking to offer something more to its passengers between economy and business in the form of this mid-tier option. The cabin will feature broader seats, better recline and will have fewer passengers for lesser passenger density to give travellers more space and privacy, as per the airline.

In terms of entertainment and in-flight service, the passengers opting for this cabin will receive a “curated gastronomic offering and personalised service.” The cabin will be equipped with 16-inch 4K screens and will have Bluetooth connectivity. The seats will also offer USB-C ports with fast charging and individual power outlets.
The airline will launch this new cabin on select flights for its long-haul international routes, beginning with its Boeing 787 fleet. This will be launched in 2027. It will reveal specific route details soon, it said.
