Ahead of World Chocolate Day on July 7, Emirates Reveals Chocolate Data. The airline has revealed data about its passengers’ chocolate habits over the last year. This includes the number of chocolates eaten and which cabin class ate the most.

Emirates’ Servings

Emirates collaborates with global brands, rotating the chocolate offered every six months to provide an interesting variety of goods to frequent flyers. Current brands onboard include Coco Jalila from the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Valrhona from France, and Canonica and Neuhaus, which are both from Belgium.

Across all classes, Emirates flyers can indulge in sweet treats, which include the option to order desserts and hot chocolate. Vegan alternatives are also available, demonstrating the airlines’ commitment to creating and serving innovative plant-based cuisine. Economy Class passengers can finish their meal with a rich chocolate mousse with classic crème anglaise. Premium Economy customers can enjoy a chocolate mousse cake with a passionfruit core and strawberry sauce, and Business Class passengers can revel in a chocolate mocha marquise wedge, banana mango and milk chocolate dome, or a vegan onyx avocado chocolate tart.

In First Class, passengers can treat themselves to pistachio and chocolate mousse cake with pistachio praline – reminiscent of the trending Dubai chocolate – warm chocolate fondant with raspberry coulis and mascarpone cream, and vegan chocolate tart with a tangy apricot compote and vanilla quenelle. First Class flyers can also enjoy 85% Lindt dark chocolate in their goodie basket.

Prior to boarding, eligible customers can enjoy chocolate goods in Emirates’ lounges. First Class customers can order Sacher cake, Marveille cake, or white chocolate ganache cake. In business class lounges, customers can eat a chocolate chou, hazelnut crunchie, or vegan chocolate brownie.

Emirates’ Data Reveal

In celebration of World Chocolate Day on July 7, Emirates has revealed that 60 million pieces of chocolate have been eaten over the last year. This is an increase of 2 million chocolates from the year before.

From this impressive figure of sweet treats, Economy Class customers have enjoyed 36.6 million individual chocolates, beating the other cabin classes with this huge number. Premium Economy Class customers have eaten 1.06 million chocolates, and Business Class customers have indulged in 9.1 million chocolates. First Class customers have access to unlimited chocolates, resulting in the consumption of 122,000 boxes or approximately 13.4 million chocolates.
