airBaltic has announced new direct flights to Albania by launching two routes from the Baltic region to its capital, Tirana. The new routes are launching from Estonia and Lithuania. These new destinations will cement airBaltic’s second and third flight connections to Albania, now offering three nonstop flights to Tirana.

Direct Flights to Albania: Travel to Tallinn and Vilnius

The maiden airBaltic flight from Tallinn (Estonia) to Tirana took off on June 2, 2025. A few hours later, around midnight on June 3, the flight from Vilnius (Lithuania) departed for Tirana. Both direct routes will be operating twice a week till late September, with flight times approximating three hours. These direct routes are a complementary addition to the already active service between Riga (Latvia) and Tirana, which was launched last year with flights also in service twice a week.

Mantas Vrubliauskas, VP Network Management at airBaltic, said:

The demand for travel between the Baltic and Albania has grown significantly, making it one of our most popular summer destinations. As a result, we have decided to expand our presence in the Albanian market by introducing new direct service from both Tallinn and Vilnius as well.

Visitors from Western Europe can find flights with airBaltic, departing from London Gatwick to Tirana from €164 (£138) between August and October. Passengers can view more pricing and flight information on airBaltic’s home page. Notably, WizzAir offers direct flights from London Luton to Tirana, with prices ranging between £24 to £200 this summer. These competitive airline options show that there is a clear demand for trips to Albania, and airBaltic’s new direct routes make it even easier to get there.

airBaltic’s Direct Routes: Boosting Travel Ties

Currently, airBaltic flies to almost 130 destinations. It offers a broad range of locations for Baltic travellers, European destinations like the Netherlands, Norway, Spain, Morocco (North Africa), alongside flights to the Middle East (Tel Aviv). With all three Baltic capitals connected, these new routes have bridged airBaltic’s gap across North and Southeastern Europe. By announcing these direct routes, airBaltic provides its travellers with a more direct and convenient way to access Tirana (Albania).
