Geneva, Switzerland – From 31 March to 26 October, Swiss International Air Lines (SWISS) will commence regular service to Munich and Frankfurt, offering its passengers an even wider range of destinations from Geneva.

The airline will operate five flights a day between Geneva and Munich. Flight guests travelling from Geneva to Frankfurt can choose from eight daily flights, of which four will be operated by SWISS and four by Lufthansa.

These new routes cater to business and leisure travellers alike.

With the addition of six summer destinations announced for 2019 and the introduction of regular service to the two German cities, SWISS will soon connect Geneva to 45 destinations.

In response to the expansion of its network, the introduction of the new Airbus A220 aircraft further enhances SWISS’s short-haul air base in Geneva, which now exclusively uses the A220. Three new aircraft will complete Swiss’s short-haul fleet in Geneva, which will consist of seven A220-300 and three 100 series by June 2019.

All flights can be booked from 13 February.

Swiss International Air Lines (SWISS) will also operate five new intra-European routes this summer to Spain, Italy, Greece and Portugal. The airline will then serve 45 direct destinations from Geneva.

The airline adds Brindisi in Puglia, the Portuguese city of Faro, the Greek island of Mykonos as well as Alicante and Ibiza in Spain, to its range of destinations.

Swiss International Air Lines (SWISS) is The Airline of Switzerland, serving over 100 destinations in 43 countries worldwide from Zurich, Geneva and Lugano and carrying some 17 million passengers a year with its 90-aircraft fleet.

The company’s Swiss WorldCargo division provides a comprehensive range of airport-to-airport airfreight services for high-value and care-intensive consignments to some 130 destinations in more than 80 countries.

As The Airline of Switzerland, SWISS embodies its home country’s traditional values, and is committed to delivering the highest product and service quality.

With its workforce of over 8,800 personnel, SWISS generated total operating income of around CHF 5 billion in 2017.

SWISS is part of the Lufthansa Group, and is also a member of Star Alliance, the world’s biggest airline grouping.
