What does it mean for travellers?

All travellers can enjoy unlimited free text and chat services. Depending on the different tiers of Thai’s frequent flyer programme, some travellers can also be granted unlimited internet during their journey.

Does the service cover all Thai Airways’ flights?

The service is currently available on two A330S. In the second half of 2025, the service will be available on more aircraft.

Intelsat Chief Commercial Officer Mike DeMarco said:

“We are delighted to partner with Thai Airways to deliver streaming-quality inflight connectivity for their passengers throughout Southeast Asia and beyond. 2Ku is reliable and the most mature IFC product in the market, and after installing thousands of systems, we know Thai’s passengers will be delighted.”

Thai Airways Head of Customer Experience and Product Captain Wirush Theparak said:

“Working with Intelsat, Thai Airways is now offering the most robust and reliable in-flight connectivity for our passengers. Intelsat’s satellites are well equipped to handle the free surfing packages Thai will offer to our valued Royal Orchid Plus members shortly.”
