Cathay and Zurich Insurance Launch Strategic Partnership

Cathay and Zurich Insurance have announced a new collaboration aimed at providing Cathay members with comprehensive insurance protection across various aspects of their daily lives.This strategic partnership, branded as “Cathay x Zurich – Protect Daily Lives, Earn Miles,” offers customers seamless access to a wide range of general insurance solutions while rewarding them with Asia Miles.

Expanding Insurance Offerings for Cathay Members

Through this alliance, Zurich extends Cathay’s existing insurance product beyond health and travel to include home, motor, personal accident, and domestic helper insurance. This expansion solidifies Cathay’s status as a leading travel lifestyle brand and further establishes Zurich as a leading insurance company in Hong Kong.

Cathay General Manager of Lifestyle Products, Jenna Yu, emphasised the company’s commitment to enhancing member benefits:

“At Cathay, we are dedicated to curating a variety of high-quality products and services that cater to our members’ needs. We are thrilled to partner with Zurich, a globally recognised insurer, to offer comprehensive protection while allowing members to earn Asia Miles as they move toward a more secure and fulfilling lifestyle.”

Cathay Zurich partnership: Earn Asia Miles While Staying Protected

Cathay members are able to take advantage of embedded insurance features when they buy products from Cathay Shop. At checkout, customers are able to easily add screen protection or accidental medical coverage to the chosen products for a hassle-free and convenient experience.

As part of the celebration, Cathay Shop is offering free screen protection on certain purchases until June 30, 2025. Members can also check out a range of Zurich‘s insurance plans including:

  • Breezy Home Insurance Plan
  • Private Motor Car Insurance Plan
  • Helpersafe Domestic Helper Insurance Plan
  • Multiple Personal Accident Insurance Plan

Cathay members who purchase Zurich’s general insurance products through Cathay will earn 1 Asia Mile for every HKD2 spent, with an exclusive limited-time discount of up to 30% on select plans. As the partnership evolves, Cathay and Zurich will introduce additional insurance solutions tailored to members’ needs, ensuring continued value and protection.

As part of the celebration of the launch of partnership, Cathay members can enrol online for 100 Asia Miles and choose one complimentary lifestyle protection plan from the following options:

  • E-Purchase Protection
  • Passenger Accident Protection
  • Driver’s Property Protection
  • Window and Solar Panel Protection
  • Credit Card Protection

This collaboration leverages Zurich Edge, a digital partner platform enabling delivering tailored solutions with successful partner ecosystems. Combining digital transformation and tailor-made insurance solutions, Zurich offers an easy-to-use customer experience across Cathay‘s internet sales channels.
