Strengthening Transatlantic Travel

Promising a summer of improved travel possibilities, this seasonal service represents British Airways’ first direct connection to the lively technology and music capital of North Texas.

Flights will leave Heathrow on Monday, Wednesday, Friday, and Sunday. Flights will operate four times a week until 15th September. Returns from Austin will be on Tuesday, Thursday, and weekends.

Passengers will have the option to choose from 127 economy, 39 premium economy, 42 Club World, and 8 first class seats in the Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner. The flight duration will be approximately 10 hours long.

Between two lively centres, this new route can be considered a lifeline. With more than 100,000 British citizens living in Texas, there is an obvious need for both business and pleasure travel between the two countries.

Neil Chernoff, British Airways’ Chief Planning and Strategy Officer, said:

“After ten years of flights between Austin and London, we’re thrilled to be making it even easier for y’all to hop across the pond. Whether it’s for business or pleasure, we look forward to welcoming even more Austinites on board our flights next summer!”

Austin, Texas: The Live Music Capital of The World

Austin, known as the “Live Music Capital of The World”, mixes Southern attractions with modern creativity. All only a flight away from London’s own cultural behemoths like the Notting Hill Carnival, travellers may fall into the Southwest festival, enjoy “Tex-Mex” food, or discover the famous 6th Street.

This new route also offers access to the larger American South and beyond with smooth further connections via British Airways’ US partners.

Whether for festival rhythms or commercial contracts, this new service is a lifeline for transatlantic travel between London and Austin, TX.
