Avelo Airlines announced five new nonstop routes from Connecticut, further expanding its reach from Tweed-New Haven Airport (HVN) and Bradley International Airport (BDL). The new destinations strengthen Avelo’s position as “Connecticut’s Hometown Airline.”
Starting in February 2025, Avelo will launch nonstop flights from HVN to Jacksonville, Florida (JAX); Dallas-Fort Worth, Texas (DFW); Detroit, Michigan (DTW); and Portland, Maine (PWM). Additionally, Hartford’s BDL will gain a third international destination, Punta Cana, Dominican Republic (PUJ), joining Cancun, Mexico, and Montego Bay, Jamaica.
With these additions, Avelo will operate 39 routes from Connecticut, including 31 from HVN and 8 from BDL, using Boeing Next-Generation 737 aircraft. Introductory fares start at $39 one-way.
In a statement, Andrew Levy, Avelo Airlines founder and CEO, expressed excitement about the expansion:
“With 39 route choices, Avelo offers Connecticut travelers more choice, affordability, and convenience than any other airline in the state, nearly 3 million customers have trusted us with their travel in just three years.”
