Air France is embellishing the in-flight dining experience with a new selection of Michelin-starred menus curated by some of France’s most celebrated chefs, including Jérôme Banctel and Josselin Marie. Travellers departing from Paris can indulge in culinary creations that bring the essence of French fine dining, local ingredients and eco-conscious practices to the sky.

Business Class and La Première

Air France has partnered with triple Michelin-starred chef Jérôme Banctel to craft innovative and exclusive dishes for its long-haul Business Class. As a native of Bretagne, Banctel infuses his menu with childhood nostalgia and modern flair. His signature butter-free sauces perfectly complement dishes like his buckwheat risotto with chicken and parsley oil. Meanwhile, the airline’s La Première cabin continues to thrive under the culinary direction of Michelin-starred chef Glenn Viel, whose twelve-dish menu elegantly fuses his Breton roots with Provençal cuisine.

Crowned World Pastry Chef 2023, Nina Métayer offers a touch of sweetness with her mango coconut slices with lime and a caramel hazelnut delight. Complemented by additional desserts from Philippe Rigollot. Whether indulging in Business Class or Air France’s La Première cabin, travellers are encouraged to indulge in a one of a kind luxury dining experience.

Premium and Sustainable Cuisine

In Premium Economy, chef Frédéric Simonin remains devoted in his partnership with Air France, offering delicately curated dishes that highlight France’s seasonal ingredients. Air France’s devotion to fine dining extends beyond the aircraft and into the heart of its Paris airport lounges. At Paris-Charles de Gaulles lies the airline’s La Première Lounge, where 21-Michelin-Starred chef Alain Ducass features signature dishes like coquillettes (small macaroni) with ham and black truffle. Travellers can equally enjoy the ‘Burgal’, his vegetarian alternative to a classic hamburger.

In the Terminal 2F lounge award-winning chefs Michel Roth and Josselin Marie join forces to introduce a fusion of traditional and eco-conscious vegetarian cuisine. Their staple delights include chicken in red wine sauce alongside a creamed celery dish with truffonade (summer white truffle and mushroom paste). Vegetarian options are available throughout all classes and lounges, showcasing Air France’s unwavering commitment to inclusivity and environmental consciousness.

Air France’s alliance with these culinary luminaries not only enhances the travel experience but also underscores the airline’s dedication to preserving French gastronomy and its eternally celebrated legacy. From inflight cabins to airport lounges, every dish conveys a story of refined culinary craftsmanship and sustainable innovation.
