In response to increased market demand, Emirates has announced it will add an extra weekly service on its Dubai/Seychelles/Antananarivo route. This addition will be the fifth weekly flight the airline offers on its Dubai-Antananarivo route. Effective from 13 December, the additional flight comes just in time for the peak holiday season.

Increased Capacity for Seasonal Demand

The addition of an extra weekly service comes as part of the airline’s response for the growing need of an increased capacity on the route. The additional flight, which will operate every Friday, is set to run for four weeks, catering to the surge in demand from holidaymakers during the festive travel period. The temporary boost to capacity will use an Emirates’ Boeing 777- 300ER. The aircraft provides 360 seats across First Class, Business Class and Economy Class.

The extra service will offer customers enhanced flexibility when travelling between Dubai and Madagascar, the world’s fourth-largest island nation. The new frequency will support seasonal demand, providing customers with additional travel options during the peak season.

Success of Madagascar Services

Emirates first launched services to Madagascar in September 2024. The success of the services has led to the airline’s decision to increase capacity on its Dubai-Seychelles-Antananarivo route. The expansion aims to enhance its customer experience and satisfaction, improving connectivity for those travelling during the busy holiday season. With the success of Emirates’ Madagascar Services, the extra weekly addition is expected to have a positive reception. The additional flights will operate as EK707 and EK708, with a three-class configuration on board.

Emirates continues to strengthen its network and expand its capacity to meet market demand. The launch of a fifth weekly service on this popular route highlights the airline’s commitment to customer convenience and satisfaction, especially during the festive season.
