Wizz Air will base an additional aircraft at Katowice Airport, increasing its fleet there to six. Kraków Airport will also gain an extra aircraft, bringing its total to five—the most the airline has ever based at the airport. The added capacity underscores Wizz Air’s commitment to its Polish network, particularly in the country’s southern region.

New Routes and Destinations

The expanded fleet will enable the launch of several new routes. Travelers from Katowice will have new direct flight options to Chișinău, Madrid, and Pisa, opening up access to Moldova’s capital, Spain’s bustling cultural hub, and Italy’s iconic Tuscan region.

From Kraków, passengers will be able to fly to Basel, Switzerland; Bergen, Norway; and Genoa, Italy. These destinations offer a mix of urban charm, scenic landscapes, and Mediterranean allure.

In addition to the new destinations, Wizz Air will increase frequencies on four existing routes from Katowice and seven from Kraków. These changes aim to meet growing demand and provide passengers with more flexibility when planning their travels.

Gateway to Southern Poland

With this expanded network, Wizz Air is positioning itself as a key gateway to southern Poland. The region, home to cultural landmarks like Kraków’s historic Old Town and Katowice’s vibrant arts scene, offers attractions for all types of travelers.

Wizz Air’s growth aligns with its mission to provide the lowest fares while expanding its reach. The Summer 2025 schedule will offer travelers more affordable options for exploring new destinations or rediscovering the beauty of southern Poland.

With new routes, increased frequencies, and additional aircraft, Wizz Air is poised to make Summer 2025 a season of affordable and accessible travel for Polish passengers and visitors alike.
