Air France is set to introduce its redesigned ‘La Première’ first class cabin by the end of the year. The La Première cabin will be introduced on the airline’s Boeing 777-300ER fleet during the upcoming Winter season.

Features of the New Cabins

The new cabin will be available on several international routes during the Winter 2024/25 season, including: Abidjan, Dubai, among others. Air France has chosen to invest heavily in its first class cabin, while other airlines have been remodelling their aircrafts to favour other areas.

The new cabins are the longest on the market with features such as each suite having up to five windows. The airline added that the new cabins “will be rolled out on a larger number of aircraft than at present.”

The cabin redesign was first announced by Air France more than two years ago. Each new cabin suite will have three modular living spaces, giving passengers a separate seat, sofa and lie-flat bed, with a floor-to-ceiling partition for maximum privacy. Unlike the carrier’s current first class cabin, the new cabin will offer just three suites to accommodate the new additions.

Air France is introducing new cabins across its Airbus A350-900 and Boeing 777-300ER fleet. This is part of its “premiumization” strategy, also features updated cabins in Business, Premium and Economy. Air France also says the changes represents the airline’s new standard in comfort and quality. The carrier’s regional Embraer E190 fleet will also be getting new cabins with lighter seats and greater connectivity.

Improvements made to Paris-Charles de Gaulle Airport by Air France

Earlier this summer, a brand-new check-in lobby and airport suites for La Première passengers flying out of Paris-Charles de Gaulle Airport was introduced by Air France. La Première customers have access to various luxuries, such as fine wines and an extensive menu.

The lounge’s new connecting suites with prices starting at 800 EUR, will need to be reserved beforehand. Air France has plans to fly to 169 destinations across 73 countries, including 85 long-haul destinations during the upcoming Winter season.
