  • The starting of 2024 assure as the year of accomplishments as easyJet commemorates 5m passengers handled in Birmingham Airport, providing surprise flights for lucky passengers to anywhere on easyJet services.

Two travelers, Rachel and Thomas Caulton, traveling to Geneva from the Birmingham airport flight, were lucky to receive an easyJet gateaway surprise with a provided return trip to any destination they desired to go, operated by easyJet. easyJet gateway was an engaging way to celebrate its 5m traveler from the Birmingham Airport.

Tom Screen, aviation director for Birmingham Airport, expressed his enthusiasm for providing the prize for the five millionth easyJet passenger:

“Reaching this landmark is a testimony to the ever-strengthening relationship of the Birmingham Airport and easyJet.”

Easyjet’s 2023 revenue increased 41.6% from previous year, improving the airline’s year profit. The year 2024 is aiming to bring new plans and goals for easyJet. The first plans are set to be fulfilled by establishing the new EasyJet base at Birmingham airport.

Updates and plans for the new easyJet base at Birmingham Airport

easyJet announced previously the intention to make Birmingham Airport its new base with conclusive plans to open on March 18 with 16 new routes, it is anticipate and expected the creation of around 100 new jobs for pilots and 1,200 for different job positions.
Currently, with 29 routes flying from Birmingham Airports, easyJet has been operating flights from Birmingham airport with excellent results of five million passengers in 17 years- New easy jet routes from Birmingham airport will include popular Spanish destinations: Barcelona, ​​Malaga, Alicante, Tenerife, and Fuerteventura and Greek destinations such as Rhodes, Corfu, Kos, and Heraklion. Among other destinations are famous cities; Antalya, Berlin, Enfidha, Larnaca, Dalaman, Sharm el Sheikh, and Jersey. The choice of more flights, destinations, and job opportunities brings great excitement for employees and travelers in the Midlands.
Ali Gayward, easyJet’s UK manager, stated his enthusiasm about the BHX new base:
“We are thrilled to celebrate carrying over five million passengers from Birmingham. We are preparing to open our new base next month (March) with more fights and more destinations in the UK, Europe, and North Africa.”
