A Flybe de Havilland Dash 8-400 was descending towards Birmingham when the crew needed to shut the right-hand engine (PW150) down. The aircraft continued for a safe landing in Birmingham about 10 minutes later.
The aircraft, G-JECO, was performing flight BE-321 from Aberdeen, SC to Birmingham, EN (UK) with 47 people on board.
The airline later reported the crew shut one of the engines down as a precaution.
