Solomon Airlines have revised its schedule including their weekly Brisbane-Munda service, no longer providing the direct flight and replacing them with revised rotation via Honiara with onward connections to Munda. The changes make up the airline’s planned operational changes as its transitions towards operating as a single international aircraft.
The updated schedule will allow passengers to plan future travel, while also maintaining connections between Brisbane, Honiara and primary domestic destinations across the Solomon Islands.

Brisbane-Munda Flights to Route Through Honiara
Under the revised schedule, Solomon Airlines will discontinue its direct Friday Brisbane-Munda service, IE715, from Dec. 4. Passengers travelling between Brisbane and Munda must instead connect through Honiara.
The airline has said these new revisions are expected to strengthen Brisbane-Honiara connectivity.
Weekly Barakoma Service to Resume
Alongside these schedule changes, Solomon Airlines will also reinstate a weekly Friday service to Barakoma Airport, with the first service operating on Dec. 4. This service restores the option for passengers travelling to and from Barakoma, improving connectivity across the Solomon Islands.
The additional domestic capacity is expected to benefit tourism, by improving access to destinations across the airline’s network.
Passengers Advised to Check Updated Schedules
Solomon Airlines have said it is working to minimise any disruptions and assist affected passengers with alternative arrangements in accordance with the airline’s terms and conditions.
Passengers can review the new schedules and confirm their travel arrangements through the airline’s official website.
These changes come as the airline prepares to halve its international fleet, including plans to reduce its Airbus A320-200 fleet. Passengers have been directed to review the updated schedules when planning travel through 2027.
