Wizz Air announced on Oct. 22 a new partnership with Amadeus, a travel technology company, to make the airline’s flights available through the Amadeus Travel Platform for the first time. This agreement targets travel agents and travel management companies, who can now gain access to Wizz Air fares through the platform.
The Hungary-based carrier will distribute its flights using Amadeus Ticketless Access (ATLA), allowing travel sellers to search, compare and book flights from low-cost and hybrid airlines as well as full-service carriers. This agreement aims to expand Wizz Air’s reach across the travel industry and make its fares more accessible to a wider range of customers across selected markets.

Wizz Air Expands Its Distribution Network
Through this partnership with the low-cost carrier, Amadeus users will be able to access Wizz Air’s fares, fare bundles and ancillary services through their existing booking tools. The agreement will connect the airline with travel management companies, travel agencies, online travel agencies, tour operators and other travel businesses.
This partnership is expected to make it easier for Amadeus’s customers to compare Wizz Air flights and book them using the tools they have already been using.
Silvia Mosquera, Wizz Air marketing and revenue officer, said the move “will enable Amadeus’ extensive network of travel sellers to access our fares and ancillaries, further improving the accessibility of our offers.”
Wizz Air’s Corporate Travel Strategy
The agreement forms part of Wizz Air’s wider strategy to increase sales through indirect distribution channels, allowing customers to book through travel agencies and other businesses.
Elena Avila, executive vice president of travel distribution at Amadeus, said “the addition of Wizz Air content to the Amadeus Travel Platform expands choice for travel sellers” while also helping airlines extend their reach through established booking systems.
With the new agreement, Wizz Air will gain access to a wider network of travel sellers, while agents and corporate travel buyers will have another low-cost carrier available through their existing booking tools. This partnership is expected to strengthen the airline’s indirect distribution as Wizz Air continues to expand its presence across Europe and sales through indirect channels.
