Vietnam Airlines’ Hanoi Ahmedabad route has officially set 3rd Nov. 2026 as the launch date for a new commercial route, following an earlier planned launch date in mid-October.

The new route will become the airline’s seventh connection between Vietnam and India. Flights will operate four times weekly using the Airbus A321 aircraft, increasing Vietnam Airlines’ total operations to India to 25 round trips per week.

The route is expected to operate on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays, and Sundays.

A Little about Vietnam Airlines.

Vietnam Airlines is Vietnam’s national flag carrier. Headquartered in Hanoi, the airline operates a network of domestic and international flights across Asia, Europe, Australia, and the Americas.

The introduction of the Vietnam Airlines Hanoi Ahmedabad route was driven by the massive surge in tourism and business travel between Vietnam and India, supported by strong diplomatic and aviation ties between the two countries. The new route is expected to support continued tourism between the two countries as India has rapidly climbed to become Vietnam’s eighth-largest international visitor market.

Vietnam Airlines also aims to meet rising travel demand from Gujarat’s business community. The direct service will give Indian travellers access to connecting flights through Hanoi to destinations across Northeast Asia and North America.

Nguyen Quang Trung, the Executive Vice President of Vietnam Airlines, said:

“Expanding our network in India remains a strategic priority as we strengthen direct air links between the two countries. The launch of the Hanoi to Ahmedabad route opens new opportunities in western India, supporting tourism, trade and economic cooperation with Gujarat and across India”

Flight Schedule for the New Service.

Flights are expected to depart Hanoi at 5:35 p.m. and arrive in Ahmedabad at 9:30 p.m. local time. The Return flights will depart Ahmedabad at 10:45 p.m. and arrive in Hanoi at 4:35 a.m. the following day.

As Vietnam Airlines continues to expand its international network, the new service will strengthen air connectivity between the two countries, expand Vietnam Airlines’ presence in Indian markets, and offer more options for passengers travelling between the two countries.

With the launch set for 3rd Nov. 2026, the Vietnam Airlines Hanoi-Ahmedabad route will add another direct air link between Vietnam and India, giving travellers more options for international connections.
