Air Canada is adding a third premium café to Montréal-Trudeau International Airport, offering an accessible, premium hospitality service to eligible domestic flyers. Located near Gate A2 and opening March 22 2025, the Air Canada Café will provide a seamless grab and go experience as part of an effort to bolster convenience and comfort at their Montréal hub. Additionally, the space will hold 58 seats across a 250-square-metre premium space designed with productivity and convenience in mind.

What’s available at the café?

The curated food and beverage offerings are extensive.

  • Montréal-inspired bagels and sandwiches.
  • Specialty & cold brew coffee.
  • Grab and go snack selection ranging from warm pistachio cream croissants to mini cheese boards and fresh salads.
  • Clear ingredient and allergen information available via QR code.
  • Self-serve beverage station, local beers, ciders, and non-alcoholic options included.

The signature design was created in collaboration with Montréal-based design firm Provencher Roy, said to be influenced by the city’s “third wave” coffee culture. It also features custom artwork by Montréal-born artist Melanie Authier.

“Our collaboration with Air Canada on the Montréal concept for Air Canada Café is one that we’re particularly proud of,” said Vincent Hauspy, Partner and Designer of Provencher Roy in a press release. “The design celebrates the unique character and spirit of Montréal, showcasing all that makes this city an iconic destination for both Canadian and international travellers.”

Who’s eligible for lounge access?

The Air Canada Café is open to customers travelling with a business class ticket, Aeroplan 50K, 75K, or Aeroplan Super Elite Status Members, Star Alliance Gold customers and Aeroplan premium co-brand cardholders. Customers need only scan their boarding pass at the eGates near the entrance.

The opening is part of an initiative to meet long-term revenue goals and and invest in new, upgraded, and expanded lounges in 2025 and beyond, including in other countries. Air Canada seeks to elevate the airport experience. Furthermore, by the end of 2025, the airline hopes to have added 500 lounge seats worldwide to ensure more space, elevated design, modern seating, and power access to select locations and eligible customers.
