IATA Connect is a secure community for aviation safety professionals, security, compliance and operations experts, as well as regularity agencies and auditors. Developed by The International Air Transport Association (IATA), it allows community members to come together to improve and support aviation safety standards.

Created in Response to Growing Challenges

The community has been launched in response to the growing challenges safety professionals face in managing compliance documents. By supporting the exchange of audit information and documentation on a single integrated platform, IATA Connect will enhance efficiency.

Initially focussing on the IATA Operational Safety Audit (IOSA), members can use IATA Connect to exchange safety documentation and information securely. It will also host a secure private documentation archive with analytical and benchmarking capabilities. The repository includes IOSA audit reports, standards and other related information as well as guidance materials, airline profiles, industry alerts and news sources.

IATA’s Director General, Willie Walsh said:

IATA Connect will provide aviation safety and compliance professionals in government and the industry with a means to make flying even safer by facilitating real time collaboration. Whether it is sharing an IOSA audit report, responding to a compliance questionnaire, updating information on codeshare partners, benchmarking resources, or information gathering, IATA Connect will bring new efficiencies and greater capabilities. By collecting critical IOSA audit data in a single location, keeping it updated, and making the mechanics of information exchange easier, IATA Connect will be a compelling tool for everyone involved in aviation safety compliance and oversight.

2,300 aviation safety professionals have been invited to join IATA Connect, including regulators, IOSA registered airlines and auditors.

Also Accessible via a Mobile App

IATA Connect will also be available on a mobile app.

The app will present two other key IATA Safety priorities: Safety Connect and Safety Issue Hub.

Safety Connect is a secure forum used for discussion and for sharing and accessing resources relating to operational areas such as cabin, cargo, and ground operations.

The Safety Issue Hub is a publicly available resource where hazards and safety risks are posted to aid the development of aviation safety improvement programmes.
