A Southwest Airlines Boeing 737-700, registration N211WN performing flight WN-2515 from Manchester, NH to Orlando, FL (USA), was in the initial climb out of Manchester’s runway 35 when the aircraft received a lightning strike, the crew subsequently received an abnormal gear indication suggesting the nose gear doors did not close. The crew declared an emergency, stopped the climb at about 7000 feet and diverted to Hartford,CT (USA), later climbing to 8000 feet, for a safe landing on Windsor Lock Airport’s runway 24 about 70 minutes after departure.

A replacement Boeing 737-700 registration N564WN reached Orlando with a delay of 4:15 hours.
