Dedication to In-flight Culinary Excellence

With continuous innovation and breakthroughs in 2024, Alaska Airlines has been crowned the best in-flight dining provider in the North American region by Business Traveller, a renowned traveller’s magazine. The selection of the awardee has two phases. First, shortlisted airlines pass through a panel of prominent experts in aviation. Then a public vote follows. The result reflects professional opinion and public resonance, illustrating Alaska Airlines’s dedication to excellence.

Alaska Airlines has always shown dedication to crafting the best in-flight experience through continuous innovation and experimentation. In May 2024, it reintroduced hot meals to both Premium Class and the Main Cabin for flights over 1,100 miles, offering a wide selection crafted with first-class ingredients and care.

Enrique Perrella, Aviation Director at Business Traveler, commented that Alaska Airlines’s exceptional fine dining brings “West Coast flavours to life with Asian-inspired dishes that reflect thoughtful innovation and quality. ”

The airline’s new hot food options include a Carnitas breakfast bowl for breakfast and Panang Curry Chicken as a lunch/dinner option. A line of exclusive beverage offerings complements these freshly prepared dishes, with a selection of both alcoholic and non-alcoholic options.

In Spring 2024, Alaska Airlines collaborated with Seattle-based Fremont Brewing to launch Cloud Cruiser. This custom craft beer is only available in-flight and in selected Alaska Lounges.

Later in November, the airline introduced Lagunitas Hoppy Refresher, a non-alcoholic sparkling water. It is the first hoppy water served on a major U.S. airline.
