As part of Kuwait Airways’ ongoing efforts to offer the best services and solutions to its valued customers, Electronic Boarding Passes was announced. This is a new service that enables customers to check in and complete their travel procedures on the airline’s website or the electronic application for more than 23 selected stations.

Speaking on the launch of this new service, the Chairman of Kuwait Airways, Captain Ali Al-Dukhan, stated,

“Kuwait Airways is committed to its tireless efforts to introduce the latest services that will enable passengers to save time and facilitate the completion of their travel procedures. The launch of the Electronic Boarding Pass is part of the Blue Bird’s efforts to implement its strategic objectives towards digital transformation, which is in line with the best standards and solutions in the aviation sector, and to provide distinguished services for passengers travelling on the National Carrier of the State of Kuwait. This is in addition to the recent launch of various other new services during the National Holidays, such as the Home Check-in Service and the Limousine Service for Royal and First Class passengers”.

The Electronic Boarding Pass

The electronic boarding pass issued by Kuwait Airlines is a digital boarding pass that may be used on any flight: Printed, downloaded, and forwarded to the email address you like. This means that you can skip Passport Control and skip printing a boarding permit at the check-in desk.

This launch is in line with the general air transportation principles, which will significantly lessen the use of paper and help with successful electronic correspondence with travellers. The introduction of this service fits in with Blue Bird’s plans for digital transformation and its shift to delivering top-notch services that enhance customer experiences and simplify their lives. ​​

Al-Dukhan claimed that Kuwait Airways is steadily moving in the direction of excellence by introducing new services that cater to the preferences and needs of devoted customers, in line with the objectives established by the company’s Board of Directors and Executive Management to develop the various systems.

He continued by stating that one of the most significant and current services introduced to make travelling easier for passengers by providing them with adequate and practical options is Kuwait Airlines’ Electronic Boarding Pass. To serve as many people as possible, Kuwait Airlines is aiming to introduce more destinations.

Al-Dukhan added,

“Customers can check-in through the Kuwait Airways website or the electronic application, select their preferred seat, complete their reservation procedures, and then obtain the barcode for their flight. Passengers without any luggage can proceed directly to the passport control, show the barcode and head to the boarding gate, without the requirements of proceeding to the check-in counter to check their baggage allowance.”

 

Al-Dukhan concluded by saying,

“Kuwait Airways has previously announced an array of new services for its valued customers, commencing from 2023, in pace with the best international standards available in the commercial air transport sector. This has contributed effectively to attaining the desired objectives towards excellence in the services provided, as well as in meeting the preferences and requirements of customers by launching new destinations, enhancing, and developing services in general, in addition to emphasizing on customer comfort through a young and diverse fleet of aircraft.”
