New Projects In Cooperation With Lufthansa Group Airlines.

Three projects were created in close cooperation with Lufthansa Group affiliates Eurowings Discover and Edelweiss Air. Projects in Namibia, Syria, and the Dominican Republic will receive funding for the first time.

Puerto Plata, Dominican Republic: Lilis School. Florencia “Dona Lili” Bonilla founded the Colegio Enriquillo in a depressed Puerto Plata suburb in 1992, intending to provide the local kids with access to a top-notch education that would result in a university degree. After becoming outdated, the school building will now be reconstructed.

Katutura, Namibia: Afternoon care. The construction of new buildings, school supplies, and school meals for economically disadvantaged children will lessen the burden placed on parents and teachers and create a more conducive learning environment for all students.

Idlib, Syria: Emergency Aid. The first step in the support alliance’s emergency response is to take urgent action to give the affected individuals the most basic requirements, such as food and water, hygiene products, tents and emergency shelters, or clothes.

Deliveries of food, water tanks, heating components, and other critically needed relief items are underway. There was a severe lack of clean drinking water in the refugee camps since the water tanks had been destroyed.

As a result, the major cholera outbreaks have been preventable. Thus, the hygienic conditions in the camps are restored immediately to stop infections from spreading.

Employees of the Lufthansa Group generally suggest and volunteer to oversee the initiatives of the assistance alliance. Since its founding in 1999, the guide association has focused on helping disadvantaged children and youth all around the world while striving for sustainable social improvement in developing countries.
