IndiGo Announces Daily Flights Between Bengaluru and Ayodhya

IndiGo, one of India’s biggest and most successful budget airlines, has recently made headlines in the aviation industry. With recent partnerships announced for codeshare agreements to boost connectivity and fleet enhancement, the budget airline looks to be heading in a great direction when it comes to increasing business efficiency and growth. Recently, the company announced that it will start operating flights daily from Bengaluru, known as the Silicon Valley of India, to the religious city of Ayodhya.

Located in the state of Uttar Pradesh, near the Sarayu Banks in India, Ayodhya is well-known for its rich culture and stunning scenery. In recent years, it has become known as one of the biggest religious tourist hubs in the country. Widely acknowledged for being the birthplace of Lord Rama, the city is known for attracting tourists who seek religious and spiritual cleanses, as well as those who seek knowledge of the rich history behind the old town. Because of this, the government has constructed the highly renowned Ram Mandir temple. The construction of this magnificent place has encouraged more tourism and has surged the local economy. Seeing the increase in tourist attractions around the country, IndiGo Airlines has implemented new routes to meet the demand.

New Flight Routes

IndiGo has announced new flight routes to facilitate the high demand. The budget airline has created an everyday flight from Bengaluru, to the historic city of Ayodhya. Starting from 31st December, the new route will take flight daily from Bengaluru (Kempegowda International Airport) on flight 6E 934 at 11:40, arriving in Ayodhya at 14:25. The return flight to Bengaluru (6E 926) will depart at 14:55 with an estimated arrival time of 17:30. Kempegowda International Airport hosts many domestic and international flights. The new route, therefore, will enhance regional connectivity within India and increase the reach of IndiGo airlines.

With aims to increase connectivity in the country and around the world, IndiGo hopes to become one of, if not the best, budget airlines in the country and it’s safe to say, that the trajectory they are on is one to look out for.
