Hawaiian Airlines World Elite Mastercard

Barclays US Consumer Bank, a leading co-branded credit card issuer and customer loyalty program organizer, introduced the Hawaiian Airlines World Elite Mastercard in collaboration with the airline in 2014. For an annual fee of $99, the card is one of the fastest ways to earn Hawaiian Airlines’ HawaiianMiles points, allowing customers to earn 70,000 bonus points after spending $2,000, as well as earn triple HawaiianMiles on eligible purchases. It also allows HawaiianMiles to never expire.

“As a partner-first organization, we are always looking for ways to enhance cardmembers’ experiences with the brands they love,” said Kristyn Forrester, director of airline partnerships at Barclays. “This industry-leading offer of two free checked bags brings our cardmembers more value and elevates the travel experience on Hawaiian Airlines to new heights.”

New Free Checked Bags Benefit

The new benefit allows customers to pack two checked bags for free when purchasing tickets directly from Hawaiian Airlines for flights between North America and Hawai’i and between Neighbor Islands.

This new benefit joins a range of benefits available to Cardmembers in addition to the bonus HawaiianMiles, such as no additional transaction fees on international purchases, discounted award flights, or an annual $100 companion discount.

“As we’ve seen a healthy return to travel and prepare to enter the busy holiday travel and shopping season, we are excited to reward our Hawaiian Airlines cardmembers with two free checked bags,” said Bryan Kapeckas, managing director of loyalty & travel products at Hawaiian Airlines. “This enhanced benefit is another way of saying thank you to our cardmembers for their loyalty.”
