Flybe has announced its 2023 summer schedule with new holiday destinations to France included. Flights to Aberdeen and the French city of Bergerac will begin from Birmingham airport at the beginning of June.
Popular holiday favourites from Flybe’s base in Birmingham will return for the summer. Due to high demand, the airline will be continuing its seasonal services to Brest and Avignon in France later this year.
Boost in Birmingham

Flights from Birmingham to Aberdeen will prove popular for customers who want a day trip to the Scottish city. The 90-minute flights depart Birmingham at 6:50 am and 18:45 and return to Birmingham after a half-hour turnaround making an easy day trip to Aberdeen.
Christopher Tibbett, group head of airline relations and marketing for Aberdeen International Airport, spoke of his excitement about the Birmingham-Aberdeen route. He said: “Birmingham is one of Aberdeen’s most popular destinations. This up-to-double-daily service will deliver even greater choice and convenience for our passengers.”
The existing summer schedule between Brest and Avignon will continue. The flights from Birmingham to both destinations will run weekly until 25th July and twice weekly until 9th September.
Flybe will also launch flights to the popular French town of Bergerac on 3rd June. The flights will operate twice weekly on Saturday and Sunday until 24th July.
The new summer schedule from Flybe for the upcoming season has produced a positive response. Flybe CEO, Dave Pflieger, said: “Our entire team is thrilled to be starting our second year of operations with this greatly enhanced summer schedule. We plan to provide not only great everyday value-for-money but also better-than-ever flight options across the UK, over to Amsterdam, and south to popular holiday spots in France.”
He also highlighted the airline’s onboard food and drink offering: “In addition to providing more great flights and outstanding customer service, we also look forward to providing our ever-popular complimentary offerings of tea, coffee, juice, and biscuits to all who fly with us.”
Popular holiday destinations still continue

The new schedule will offer the continuation of several key routes. From Belfast, the carrier will offer ten nonstop destinations, which include Amerstdam and Edinburgh. A daily flight from East Midlands Airport to Amsterdam will also continue alongside the existing service to Belfast.
Also, in the UK, Flybe will link the popular holiday destinations of Cornwall to both Manchester and London Heathrow. Flybe’s summer schedule begins on Sunday, March 26th, 2023, and operates until Saturday, October 28th, when Flybe’s winter schedule comes into effect.
