A new Pakistan airline, Fly Jinnah (FJ), is set to launch flight operations on November 1. Based in Karachi, the carrier will serve a range of domestic routes across the country and is expected to expand its route network internationally.

Fly Jinnah (FJ) is jointly owned and operated by Lakson Group and the United Arab Emirates group Air Arabia. The two groups decided to form a JV airline in Pakistan in September 2021.

The airline will follow the low-cost business model and provide its customer base with a reliable operation and value-driven product.

In March 2022, the airline adopted ‘FJ’ as its brand name abbreviation and red as its brand colour. Red reflects the young and modern spirit of the airline.

According to a statement released in this regard, its logo and brand identity consist of its unique font and round-shaped symbol, reflecting motion and continuity.

Its brand values are Ambition – the airline proposes to offer customers real value – comfort, reliability, and value for their money in air travel.

The carrier is starting with three Airbus A320 aircraft and will link Karachi with Islamabad, Lahore, Peshawar and Quetta. Still, the bigger plan is to expand beyond Pakistan, Iqbal Ali Lakhani, Chairman of the airline carrier, said in a statement.

Statistics have revealed that Air transport provides more than 30 million jobs in Asia and counts $684 billion in GDP in Asia and the Pacific, and these are part of what the airline hopes to achieve. Lakhani said in a statement:

“The aviation industry is an economic engine and a crucial sector for sustainable development. Investment in aviation also provides significant social benefits by providing our citizens with reliable access to air transport that improves the quality of life.”
